Clippz.com is the first website to offer high quality mobile video to a massive audience, without the need for a mobile network. You can download videos to your PC and then transfer them to your mobile device using Bluetooth, USB or by writing to a memory card and inserting it into the device.
As you don't have to use a mobile network for delivery, none of the usual restrictions apply. Video quality is determined by the ability of each device and not by the constraints of the mobile network. The vast majority of devices we support are not on 3G mobile networks, yet the performance levels are usually better than 3G levels.
Does it matter which network I'm on?
Clippz is network independent. Delivery of the video does not touch a mobile network, so your choice of carrier is irrelevant. The only exception to this rule is if you have a Verizon cell phone. Verizon is legendary for crippling its phones to disable Bluetooth file transfer. However you can still use the memory card option for sideloading to Verizon phones.
Does it matter which country I'm in?
No. Any device. Anywhere.
Yes. You can upload them to the site and they will be converted while you wait. See our conversion FAQ for more details.
Yes. Try it.
Sideloading is a generic term used to describe the file transfer from a PC to a mobile device. If you have a PDA you might consider this to be "syncing" your device, but in the cellphone world its mostly file transfer rather than a synchronization, so the term sideloading has been adopted.
Can I share the video with my friends?
Yes, but you should consider whether the video will play on their device. If you've downloaded a file for your Nokia N95, it's not going to play well on a lower specification device.
If you want to download something with the intention of passing it on, pick a lower specification device. The video quality will not be as good but at least it will play more widely. Even better, download something specifically for their device and send it to them, or get them to check out the video on Clippz.com.
If you have an iPod, other media player or PDA and want to share the video with other users of the same device, there's no problem.
