In order to send video files from your Mac to your cellphone, you use first "pair" the devices. The first step is to activate Bluetooth on your phone. In the majority of cases you can do this from the Settings menu on your phone by choosing Bluetooth and turning it on.

Once you have activated Bluetooth on your phone, click on the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and turn on Bluetooth on your Mac.



Click on the icon again and choose "Set Up Bluetooth Device"



This opens the Bluetooth assisitant. Click "Continue".



Check the Mobile Phone button and click "Continue".



Your Mac will now search for Bluetooth devices in the vicinity. If your device does not appear, go back and make sure that Bluetooth is active on your device and that your device is discoverable. Select your device from the list and click "Continue".



Click "Continue".



Your Mac will now automatically generate a security code that you will need to enter into your cellphone. Once you have entered this information you will be able to move to the next page.



If you just want to set up your phone for file transfer you can uncheck the boxes in the next screen. Click "Continue".





Your Mac and your cellphone are now paired and you can quit the Assistant.



You can transfer videos to your cellphone. From the Bluetooth menu choose "Send File".



Browse to the file you've downloaded and click "Send"



Choose your device from the list and press "Send" again.



The transfer will begin. Once it is finished you can play the video on your cellphone.
