PDAs have excellent sideloading options. USB connection is virtually ubiquitous, memory cards are widely supported and many newer PDAs support Bluetooth file transfer.

USB

Using a USB cable is the easiest way to transfer videos into PDAs. It is simply a case of connecting the cable and using Windows Explorer to move the videos that you have downloaded into your PDA.

Bluetooth

Unless you are using a laptop with built-in Bluetooth support the chances are that you will have to acquire a Bluetooth adapter if you want to use Bluetooth for file transfer. Adapters like those shown below are available in most electronics retailers, but they can be over-priced, especially from stores in the US like Best Buy and Radio Shack. If you're in the North America our advice is to shop online. Follow this link for some suggestions.

If you have Bluetooth connectivity you will have to "pair" your PC and your PDA. This is a one-off security procedure that makes sure that the PC and PDA are authorized to communicate with each other.

The variety of different bluetooth drivers means that this can be confusing. Not to worry, the next step will show you how to pair your devices and transfer the videos.

Memory Cards

Removable memory cards are now widely supported on PDAs. If you have a card reader in your PC or Laptop, or have an external card reader that connects thought USB, then this will be an easy sideload option.
