In order to transfer files to your device using Bluetooth, you must first ensure that you have a Bluetooth enabled PC or have an Adapter installed. If you haven't installed the adapter yet it's worth reading the rest of this page as it may allow you to make some useful installation changes.

Whichever Bluetooth adapter you are using the chances are that it will be using one of four drivers; Widcomm, Microsoft, Toshiba or Blue Soleil. In our experience, Toshiba and Blue Soleil Vista updates work fine. We've also had some success with the built-in Vista driver (though it is not as good as the XP driver). A Vista update is available from the Broadcom website for Widcomm drivers, but at the time of testing we had not managed to get it to work properly.

You first need to identify which manufacturer's Bluetooth drivers you are using. On your PC's taskbar you should see an icon like this..

Right click on this icon on your taskbar and a dialog box will pop up. Compare the box with those shown below to find out which driver you are using.

If you see this image you are using the Microsoft Driver that is built in to Vista. Set up this driver for pairing
If you see this image you are using a Toshiba Driver. Set up this driver for pairing.
If you see this image you are using the Blue-Soleil/IVT Driver. Set up this driver for pairing.

If you see a dialog box that is different from all of those shown above, then you probably have managed to succeed where we failed and got the Widcomm driver working. In that case try following similar steps to those on the Windows XP pairing and file transfer page for this driver.
